We'll leave at 8:00am on that Saturday morning from the Art Parking lot. So, be there at 7:50. We won't have time to wait around.
As for the portfolio, I'm happy to look over your work with you before you go. You'll see many different formats of portfolios: traditional leather/faux leather portfolios, brief-case style, posters mounted to boards, ipads, laptops. If you are using an iPad or laptop make sure that you have a good charge. Also, attempt for a seamless transition from piece to piece (i.e., don't open up the files natively in PS or AI). Take multiple copies of your resumé and business cards. Spell check!
We'll go to lunch together after the portfolioreview, so bring some cash if you want to eat. Should be fun!
Hey Corey, >>> I just thought I'd let you know that Stillwater Screenprinting is in search of a fulltime graphic designer. The job mainly entails designing tshirts, but also the occasional logo, brochure, business card ect. If you know of anyone who might be interested have them email a resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. But note that it is FULL TIME, so mostly graduates or upcoming grads should apply.
I was wondering if there was a student you would recommend that might be willing to help me come up with a logo for a volunteer program we are starting to connect American Families with new International Students. The program is called the MAP program (My American Parents). I just need something simple to use in advertising. So, if there is anyone who might just want to add something to their profile please let me know.
